Much like my opinion regarding obsolete or discontinued units, I believe that Games Workshop does an injustice to players when they discontinue Special Characters. They put all of this effort into backgrounds and often release figures for them, but they somehow get dropped when the next army book comes out.
This section covers the profiles and backgrounds for Special Characters that have been released in earlier army books or White Dwarf articles that are currently not in the current GW roster. When Games Workshop updates a character in a new article or army book, I drop the file in order to preserve their publishing Rights. These characters are included here for campaign players, like myself, where a character is still alive and well and participating in the campaign, yet his points cost or stat line have not been carried forward to the latest edition.
